“No” to alcohol for minors

The National Council for Gastronomy and Catering, along with the Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Polish Organisation of Trade and Distribution, the Supreme Council of Trade and Services Associations, the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels, the Polish Organisation of Oil Industry and Trade and the Brewing Industry Employers Association – Polish Breweries, remind that it is a task of all adults to ensure that minors have no access to alcohol. Within the framework of cooperation, the coalition of entities and organisations representing trade, gastronomy, fuel sector and brewing industry, will mark 100,000 retail outlets, gastronomy establishments and petrol stations with special stickers confirming that they sell alcohol only to persons who have reached the age of majority. The sellers will also receive cards with information about the possibility to undergo free-of-charge training on responsible sale of alcohol, using the e-learning platform “Responsible Seller”, prepared by the brewing industry and available at www.odpowiedzialnysprzedawca.pl.

Receipt lottery

In 2016, the National Council for Gastronomy and Catering got involved in the campaign organised by the Ministry of Finance and entitled “Popieram Loterię Paragonową (eng: I support the Receipt Lottery). The National Receipt Lottery is an educational campaign to raise awareness of Poles that their actions may significantly contribute to increasing the fair trading practices in Poland. Consumers who take receipts at service and trading posts support companies of integrity and healthy competition between them. The members of the National Council for Gastronomy and Catering joined the campaign as well. As a result, restaurants from the associated chains  distributed leaflets with information about the lottery. The stickers with the campaign motto on cash desks and in other well visible places were exhibited.  The lottery was also promoted at websites of the member companies.
